Located in New Philadelphia, Ohio, United Day Care & Preschool was founded with parents in mind. Parents concerned about the quality of day care available for their children.
We have more than 30 years of experience in providing multi-dimensional developmental opportunities for each child in an atmosphere that fosters growth of heart, character and intellect. Understanding the nature of these first vital years of your child`s life means that we do not push academics in our 3 and 4 year old classrooms where children have much more vital developmental skills to master. It means your child will not bring home reproduced worksheets displaying copycat attempt to "write" or "do numbers." You will find instead examples of painting, cutting, coloring, drawing and yes, even sometimes, "writing." But all materials will be generated out of the child`s interests, not because he was pushed into areas that he wasn`t ready to attempt.
Allow your child to be a child with us and leave the academics to the school system.

UDC is proud of our many long-term, experienced staff people. The director has a bachelors degree in Education as well as post graduate work in Early Childhood Education and 20 years of experience in the early childhood classroom as well as additional experience in the elementary classroom. Two teachers have been with us in excess of 20 years, logging many hours of college work and specialized training. Another worked with us a young mother, took a few years off for her own children, then returned to us several years ago. Several other teachers who have completed many hours of CDA training in addition to having 5 - 10 years of experience in our classrooms.
